Most children can't wait to sit on Santa's lap for the Christmas season. But Alison Epps's 6-year-old son has some challenges left over from a very early delivery.
So even though he wanted to meet Santa, he didn't want to sit on his lap.
So as Epps explained in a viral Love What Matters post, she took her son to a church in her town that hosts an event with Santa specifically for children with special needs so he would be comfortable.
"They put a great amount of time and effort into this event to make it the best possible experience for all of these children," she wrote.
And Santa went above and beyond to deliver for her little boy.
"We still didn't get that sweet, sitting in Santa's lap photo," she wrote. "What we got was pretty perfect though."
Santa met her son right where he was comfortable meeting him--on the floor.
"He joined him right there and did everything he could to make it a magical moment for my sweet boy," Epps wrote. "I love the magic this time of year brings, and I especially love experiencing it through the eyes of my child."
