A Mom Was Filming Her Kids Playing, When an Earth-Shattering Noise Froze Them Like Statues

If you watch the below kids’ video with the sound off, as I originally did, it seems ripped from a horror movie. Children are gleefully swinging on a playground until some unseen force beckons them to stand straight up and very still for several seconds. And then, as quickly as they were drawn to attention, they’re back at it, playing, as though they never stopped.

Watch the below video with the sound on, and it all makes sense–and is quite touching. According to Danielle Tomei Davila, the mom who posted the quick clip, her children and some friends were playing on a military base, and the kids you see belong to Marine Corps families. They paused from their fun as soon as colors sounded and stood frozen until the music ended. How respectful!

The restraint these children show is one all kinds of families can admire! Well done, children (and parents!).
