Just call it a dramatic doggie rescue with a happy--and totally awww-worthy--ending.
Tucker, an adorable Labradoodle living in Salt Lake City, UT, had been playing outside with his owner when he scampered off to chase a few ducks. All of a sudden, he fell and got stuck in the icy water--and his terrified owner couldn't safely reach him, despite numerous frantic attempts.
That's when firefighters from United Fire Authority were called, and they quickly arrived at the scene to help poor Tucker, who was already suffering from signs of hypothermia. What they did next was nothing short of heroic--watch it here.
But our favorite part of the story comes later, when Tucker's family sent a thank-you note to express their unending gratitude for the heroic rescue of their beloved pet. Along with the note? A super-sweet photo of Tucker, looking a bit disheveled yet charming--and certainly in much better shape than the last time firefighters saw him.
You can tell from the look in his eyes--this doggy surely appreciates his heroes!
