It all began when Holly Hoyle O'Brien and Meagan Hughes, both of whom were born in South Korea and later adopted by American families, started working together at a Sarasota, FL hospital. They became lunchtime buddies, and it was over one of those cafeteria chats that they realized how much they had in common.
"What caught my attention is when I asked Holly what her last name was in Korea and she said Shin. And I said, 'Oh my gosh, that's also my last name too,'" Hughes told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
As the matching details--the cities they were born in, their birth years and adoption dates--began to pile up, the two women decided to get a DNA test. The shocking results confirmed something so miraculous. Just watch.
