4. Kohl’s

With stores like Sears declaring bankruptcy, Kohl’s has managed to stick around — and it’s hiring a lot of seasonal workers. The retailer wants to fill nearly 90,000 holiday work positions at its roughly 1,100 stores, nine warehouse facilities, and five e-commerce fulfillment centers.

The pay for a Kohl’s seasonal job starts at roughly $9/hour depending on your location, and employees are paid on a weekly basis. Store associates get 15 percent off merchandise — which can be stacked with coupons for extra savings — as soon as they get hired. And once the holiday season is in full swing, Kohl’s will offer 35 percent off products online and in stores for employees, with no exclusions. These centers are mainly located in Goodyear, Arizona; Sacramento, California; Cheshire, Connecticut; Stone Mountain, Georgia; Joppa, Maryland; Secaucus, New Jersey; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Portland, Tennessee; and Martinsburg, West Virginia.
