Baby elephants stay close to their mothers in the first few months after birth. It seems this sleepy calf mistook this woman for its mom!
The person in the video is a worker at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. The video caption says, "Allie has lived with this little ele since the day she was born 3 weeks ago and as you can see they have a special bond."
She can be heard softly singing to the elephant while it rests on top of her. Since baby elephants can weigh 250 pounds soon after birth, we can't imagine how heavy this baby feels lying on her lap.
She gently scratches its head and we see the baby nod off. With a lovely lullaby like that, we bet the precious pachyderm is having the sweetest dreams!
