13 Facts You Probably Never Knew About the ‘Brady Bunch’

Tags:

On September 26, 1969, the world was introduced to a lovely lady, a man named Brady, and their brood of six children who all became the Brady Bunch. The iconic show quickly personified the 1970s with their bright clothes (and kitchen walls), groovy slang, and unforgettable theme song. Every sugary-sweet episode saw the family members coming together despite misunderstandings, sibling rivalries, or the occasional haunted tiki idol bringing them bad luck.

Now, exactly 50 years later, the series remains such a huge part of our pop culture with new generations of fans rediscovering episodes, spin-offs, and reunion specials. Most recently, those original six child actors — Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy) — have gathered together to help transform their fictional family’s home with HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation

As happy as we are to see them back on our screens, we wanted to refresh our memories about the original series that got it all started. There have been rumors and legends surrounding the Brady’s lives behind the scenes for decades, but we made sure to find out what was really going on with the whole bunch.

Take a look below to celebrate the show’s anniversary and learn more about the Brady Bunch!
