Tim's Place in New Mexico looks like an ordinary restaurant at first glance, but its owner makes it a special one. That's because Tim is the first restaurant owner in the country with Down syndrome, and he's run it successfully for five years, putting his heart and soul into his work.
Now, he's closing up shop. Though it's sad for his beloved customers, the reason why he's leaving is incredibly heartwarming. When he went to a Down Syndrome convention, he met a woman named Tiffani and fell head over heals in love. And the feeling was mutual. Since the pair is getting married, he decided to relocate to Colorado to be with his future wife.
"I see love. I see joy. And I see that I have a future here," he said of Tiffani.
And speaking of his future, he plans to open up a new restaurant in his new town! It's no surprise that he knows this is the right decision to make.
