Though country singers don’t often have the most elaborate or most expensive dresses and suits at award shows, it’s undeniable that their outfits are often strikingly gorgeous. Whether it’s Tim McGraw and Faith Hill effortlessly coordinating a his-and-hers look as a couple, or Carrie Underwood daring to bare some leg, these A-listers know how to work the red carpet fashion that works the best for them. But we were most impressed by the moments when they stepped out of their comfort zones.

Of course, we expected these stylish country singers like Miranda Lambert to pull out all the stops at the award shows that are heavily focused on their music genre. After all, it’s their expected moment to shine. But even at award shows that covered all genres, like the Grammys, they ended up stealing the show.
