After ringing in the New Year, Texas couple Stephanie and Brad Harris are also ringing in their new family by finally bringing home a rare, precious gift from the hospital.
When the young couple has set out to have their first child, they had no idea that doctors would surprise them with news of twins at their first ultrasound. That was big enough news--but a couple of weeks later, the Harris family got the REAL shock of their lives.
They were actually expecting three babies: A set of naturally conceived identical triplets, which is so rare that doctors weren't even sure of the exact odds.
"I've read that one in 60,000 and one in one million," are the rates of identical triplet births, Harris told ABC News.
Naming their three holiday gifts Addison, Savannah and Kinsley, the new parents have waited more than a month to bring home their girls--and couldn't be happier about the exciting, overwhelming days ahead.
"We got ankle bracelets, and we're going to color coordinate them," their mom said. "Hopefully, we don't get them mixed up."
