There’s nothing wrong with knowing what you want and going after it, but this mom takes demanding to a whole new level.

When a new mom sent out an email to family regarding her young son’s first birthday party, one family member was fed-up. Under the screen name Razz32, said individual posted a photo of the email on Reddit with the moms’ bizarre instructions. See if her requests don’t have you gasping, “Wait? Really?!”

First, Mom sent a different gift list to each side of the family to ensure her precious baby boy didn’t receive any repeat gifts. That seems normal, right? She specifically asked grandparents and first aunts and uncles for two gifts per household (although, shouldn’t she be grateful for any gift at all?!). Then she lists four different items which seem pretty standard: a water table, a play tunnel, a play tent, and an interactive book. Of course, she follows up the list with an additional rule: “If you are unable to get these items, please let us know so that we can buy them right away for him.” Yikes! We’re sure her son can live without a gift or two.

The email continues with a few other helpful tips from Mom.

“If you choose to get [name] something that isn’t on this list, anytime regardless of birthdays or holidays, please be sure to always include a receipt going forward.”

But it’s her last request that has us scratching our heads.

“Please refrain from personalized gifts that would be used outside of the house. Clothing with names is the #1 thing that leads to kidnapping, so we don’t need to broadcast [child’s] name on clothing or toys.”

Is she just overprotective and a bit of a control freak, or simply the world’s most demanding mom? We’ll let you decide.
