What you’ll need:
• White cardstock
• 16-oz. jar with a lid, such as a canning or olive jar
• Orange paper, preferably glittery
• About 8” of 3/8” Halloween ribbon
• Beacon Fabri-Tac glue
• Orange or black glitter glue with a fine writing tip
• About 12” string, preferably black and white
• Glue stick, glue spots or double-sided tape
Load your printer with cardstock. Click here to download and print the label, instructions and the cat that stands on the jar lid. Cut them out. Manicure scissors or an X-Acto knife may help you with the fine details and to remove the space between the cat’s legs.
If your jar has a one-piece lid, trace around it on the orange paper; cut out. If it has a two-piece lid, trace around the flat portion on the orange paper; cut out. Cut a slit in the paper’s center, fold back the tab at the bottom of the cat and feed it through the slit. Use Glue Spots to stick on the orange paper and the cat, then Glue-Spot the lid’s sections together if needed.
Glue the ribbon around the lid’s edge.
Use the glitter glue to add a narrow border to the ghost.
Make a loop of the string, adjusting its length so it fits over your jar top but doesn’t slide down; tape it to the back of the tag. Cut out the instructions and use glue stick or double-sided tape to stick it to the back of the tag.
