What you’ll need:
• 64-oz. jar with lid, such as a canning jar
• 12" (1/2") dotted red ribbon
• 12" (1/4") white rickrack
• Red paper about 4” square
• Beacon Fabri-Tac and Gem-Tac glues
• Fine glitter: Nutmeg, Crystal, Cranberry, Yellow
• 2 (1/4") sticky-back green gems
• Narrow red ribbon
• Mini gingerbread man cookie cutter
If your jar has a one-piece lid, trace around it on the red paper. Cut out and use Fabri-Tac to glue it to the top. If it has a two-piece lid, trace around the flat portion on the red paper; cut out. Glue it on, then glue the lid’s sections together. Glue the dotted ribbon around the lid’s edge, then add a row of white rickrack.
Load your printer with cardstock. Click here to download the label; print the gingerbread house and front and back of the gingerbread man. Cut out the pieces. Use Gem-Tac to outline the gingerbread man; sprinkle on Nutmeg glitter. Shake off when dry, then apply Crystal glitter to the white zigzags. Apply Crystal glitter to the house roof; Cranberry to the heart over the door and Yellow to the windows.
Fold the tab on the house to the back and use Fabri-Tac to glue it to the lid. Use glue sparingly to stick tag and directions together back-to-back.
Use the narrow ribbon to tie the mini cookie cutter to the neck of the jar and, putting glue only on places where there’s no printing, glue the tag to the jar. Or, if you prefer, punch a hole in the top of the tag and tie it to the jar along with the cookie cutter.
