A Boston man who had been upset ever since last Halloween, when he lost his wedding ring while passing out candy to trick-or-treaters, is feeling quite grateful these days--and it's all thanks to a guardian angel.
Robert Rand, whose house is known as the neighborhood's "Halloween House" thanks to his elaborate decorating, told WCVB that he had been praying for months for the return of the valuable ring, even posting signs during this year's Halloween festivities in hopes of jogging people's memories. But in a happy twist, it turns out the ring was close to him the whole time: It was perched on the toe of his the angel garden statue in his yard.
“I am handicapped, and as I was attempting to rake my leaves, there it was on the toe of my garden angel! I'd been praying to find it for so long, and there it was with my angel all this time,” said Rand, who has been married 22 years.
Sounds like this man, who loves getting into the spirit of a holiday, has something new to celebrate.
