Chip and Joanna Gaines Are Turning Original Magnolia Store Into a Discount Outlet

Get your wallets ready! Chip and Joanna Gaines are officially re-opening the original Magnolia Market storefront in Waco, Texas, but with an exciting twist. The Little Shop on Bosque, as it was originally called, will soon be turned into a discount warehouse store.

“We’re re-opening our tried and true Little Shop on Bosque as a #MagnoliaWarehouseShop! It will be open Thursdays [through] Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Thursday, March 22,” the couple announced on the Magnolia Twitter account. “The shop will feature last chance items and slightly damaged products at a discount. || 3801 Bosque Blvd.”

The Fixer Upper stars first purchased the property back in 2003, and the beginnings of the Magnolia Market brand was born.

“In that store, I developed and sharpened my design style and skills, grew as a business owner, and gained much-needed confidence in Magnolia Market and myself,” Joanna explained on the Magnolia website.

However, after having their first two children, Drake and Ella, the couple made the difficult decision to shut down the storefront to “focus on growing and raising our family.” Now, they’re expecting their fifth child. They later reopened the business in 2014, and have since expanded the brand even more. “Soon HGTV’s Fixer Upper came along. But something began tugging at my heart, and I began feeling a pull toward reopening Magnolia Market. So in May of 2014, we pulled the trigger, and the Little Shop on Bosque reopened for business,” Joanna continued.

Now that they’ve successfully created their design and construction empire — and are also saying goodbye to their hit show — Chip and Jo are venturing into the world of discount shopping. The HGTV show’s huge popularity allowed the couple to further expand their original shop to the Magnolia Market at the Silos.

“We’ve recently outgrown our Little Shop on Bosque, and moved into our new Magnolia Silos location in downtown Waco!” Jo wrote on the website. Now, the Magnolia Warehouse Shop will once again join its sister location, but the duo are encouraging visitors to stop by both places. “If you’re here visiting, keep in mind that Magnolia Market at the Silos has a completely different collection of products, so you’ll want to be sure to stop by both locations,” they added on Twitter.

“This entire business idea was born completely out of a dream I didn’t know could ever come to life,” Jo gushed on the brand’s website. “It’s truly only because a fiercely faithful, brave, and bold husband pushed me to pursue my dream that it ever came to be.” Now look where they are!
