Start spreading the news, because Liza Minnelli is making a career comeback! The 71-year-old singer and actress has already experienced more than six decades of showbiz success — and she's not done yet.
"She’s talked about putting a show together that she’d like to do with me,” her good friend, Michael Feinstein, recently told Closer Weekly at the Pasadena POPS presents Michael Feinstein Sings and Swings in LA. "Every time we meet, we discuss songs and come up with opening numbers. We’ll see!"

Liza moved back to her hometown of LA in 2015, and since then, she's been enjoying the relaxation of a slower-paced life. "She’s happy living a life of leisure," he added. "She’s never been happier or more content. She’s always working on music and organizing boxes of things she’s collected through the years."
But, that doesn't mean she isn't staying active. She still takes dance classes twice a week and helps support Michael’s Great American Songbook Foundation. In fact, it doesn't look like she's slowing down anytime soon.

And for her career comeback, music is still a big part of Liza's life. "Each song is a movie to me,” she once said. "I write down a description of where the character came from and what happened to her to get her to this moment."
Although Liza has battled addiction in the past, she's much healthier now and ready to embrace every moment of her life. "She has a curiosity for life, and I think that’s what keeps her going," Michael added of his friend. And as Liza herself has said, “Life is grand!”
