Mango-Coconut Colada

Tags:

This tropical chiller is full of island-inspired fruits that are packed with powerful enzymes to nourish and revitalize. Fruit enzymes in mangos (mangiferin) help the body utilize sugar after eating to prevent blood-sugar spikes that cause cravings and fatigue. And coconut enzymes (catalase) have been shown to break down the protein molecules that collect in the GI track to banish bloat.

What’s more, according to Stanford University experts, enzymes in pineapples (bromelain) reduce the demands on the liver and pancreas, so these organs can focus on fat-burning and detoxifying.

Here’s the sweet recipe:

1 cup mango nectar, like Jumex

1 cup frozen mango chunks

¾ cup frozen pineapple chunks

½ cup plain Greek yogurt

1 Tbs. cream of coconut, like Goya

In a blender, puree nectar, mango, pineapple, yogurt and cream of coconut. Pour into glass. Serve immediately.
