Yesterday, September 10, was a dark and stormy day in New York City. But where there's rain, there are often rainbows. And no city could use a rainbow more than the Big Apple around the anniversary of the horrific attack on the World Trade Center.
Luckily, a breathtaking one appeared out of the site of the tragedy, and Twitter user Ben Sturner, a founder of a sports and entertainment agency and an amateur photographer, captured its beauty in photos that are giving hope to people in New York and beyond.
After sharing the moving images on Twitter, other users started retweeting with the hashtag, #magicalrainbow, along with notes about how the natural phenomenon has inspired them. "Was struggling to find a fitting tribute when I saw this #magicalrainbow," said Twitter user @SSYP. "The fact a rainbow emerged from the WTC on the day before 9/11 is truly amazing," said another, @Saijithesh.
We hope this beautiful sight lends comfort on this difficult day.
