Christine Stone is pregnant, and her family is obviously thrilled for her—especially her mom, who hears the news over and over again and is just as excited every time.
You see, Setsuko Harmon has Alzheimer’s disease, so almost every time Christine goes over and visits, she needs to tell her mom she’s expecting all over again—sometimes multiple times in one visit.
Christine filmed her mom’s sweet reactions and put them together in one beautiful video that’ll almost definitely make you cry.
"I’ve shared the news countless times―too many to count," Stone told Australia's Huffington Post. "It is sad, yet heartwarming, to see my mom’s reaction every time. I cannot wait for her to meet our daughter when she arrives in October, obviously."
The mom-to-be said she made the video for her future daughter as well as the rest of her family.
“I wanted to have a video for my daughter to see how excited my mom was for her arrival and how she was loved by her,” Stone told Australia's Huffington Post. “I also thought it was adorable how my mom reacted every time.”
Christine hopes the video will motivate people to donate and help find a cure for the disease or join in their local Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“I also hope people take time out of their schedule to spend time with their parents, because they won’t be around forever.”
"When someone asks you the same question 20 times in a row, non-stop in an hour, it’s hard not to get frustrated, but it’s not their fault,” she continued. “I hope this video can help people who are trying to make the best out of a difficult situation. There’s always something good that can come out of anything.”
