Joanna Gaines Loves Flaunting Her Growing Baby Bump
If you’re anything like us, you were overjoyed when Chip and Joanna Gaines first announced they’re expecting baby No. 5 on January 2 on Instagram. And ever since that playful pregnancy announcement from the Fixer Upper duo, you’ve probably been following along as the beloved HGTV couple has shared more exciting milestones, from Joanna’s ultrasound video to Chip’s cheekily suggesting a “romantic” concert was what led to baby’s conception. Yes, the Gaines’ pregnancy news has been a hilariously adorable storyline so far for the couple’s devoted fans. But the latest update has us grinning wider than ever: It’s finally time for Joanna to reveal her best maternity fashion to the world!
Now it goes without saying that Joanna always looks stunning no matter what she wears; honestly, she would probably look beautiful dressed in a potato sack! But she really blew us away in a few new photos she posted on Instagram on March 4, 2018. She spent a fun weekend with Chip and former NFL player Tim Tebow at a black-tie gala and on a golf course for the Tim Tebow Foundation — a foundation with a mission “to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.” Click on the right arrow of the photo below to see more pictures of pregnant Joanna’s “amazing” weekend.
“Pregnancy has been so fun, in fact my two favorite things to do are take naps and eat! Since it’s been over eight years since I was pregnant with [our youngest daughter] Emmie Kay, I joke with my friends that it feels like it’s my first time being pregnant. The best thing about all of this is the excitement that my kids have shown for their new baby brother,” she wrote in an April 3 blog post. “Since I had our first four babies so close to one another, none of them actually remember me being pregnant. They love my growing belly (and boy is it growing), and they cannot wait to meet him. I truly believe this baby is a gift from God for our family in this season.”
Joanna’s tiny baby bump will continue to grow, but we’ll never forget one of her first outings after announcing her pregnancy when she looked like an absolute vision in a striking orange dress with a floral print. And it doesn’t sound like pregnancy dampens Joanna’s charm one bit: True to form, her caption to her Instagram photos is sweet and inspiring as she compliments Sarah Dubbeldam, the CEO and editor-in-chief of Darling Media, writing, “There’s just some people you meet and you feel like you’ve known them forever.”
If we’re being totally honest, we feel like we’ve known Joanna forever. And we know that our love for her is going to keep on growing — just like the Gaines’ baby! For now, we’ll probably continue to click through these photos of Joanna’s latest maternity look, wondering if she’s going to have a boy or a girl (and if she’ll pick one of the baby names we chose for her!) until she posts the next glimpse into her beautiful life. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing more pictures of her gorgeous maternity fashion as the months go on.
