Prince Harry’s Nickname for Kate Middleton Proves They Have the Closest Brother-Sister Relationship

Tags:

Prince Harry and Kate Middleton may be royally obligated to spend lots of time together, but it looks like these two would choose to hang out anyway. Considering some in-laws can barely speak a word to each other at the annual Thanksgiving dinner, it’s a feat that they can still laugh and joke together despite spending dozens of hours every week in each other’s company.

Of course, both Prince Harry and Kate Middleton know the importance of family. The Duchess of Cambridge comes from a close-knit family of five, and before she got married, she spent a lot of time with her younger sister, Pippa Middleton. Though the Duke of Sussex only has one brother, Prince William, the two relied on each other heavily after the death of their beloved mother, Princess Diana.

As proof of just how close these royal relatives are, it’s been revealed that the prince has a special nickname for his sister-in-law. BBC Radio 1 host Scott Mills asked the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge about a comment Prince Harry made in an earlier podcast where he referred to his brother and sister-in-law as “William and Cath.” Mills inquired, “Is this a thing just in the family?” to which the duchess responded, “I’m not that familiar with it, I have to say, but I’ll answer to most things to be honest.” (Perhaps that explains why Kate Middleton has so many titles.)

We can just imagine a cheeky Prince Harry leaning over to his sister-in-law and saying, “Hey Cath.” And while we don’t know what Kate Middleton calls Prince Harry behind closed doors, we’re sure it’s just as sweet.

Now that Prince Harry has a new wife, we may not see as much of him and Kate Middleton together as before. After all, he has a new partner who can attend royal events with him. But deep down, we know he has a special place in his heart for Kate!
