Prince William Says Prince George and Princess Charlotte Bicker Like Regular Siblings

Tags:

Even kids growing up in a palace can get into fights with their siblings, and it turns out the Cambridge children are no exception.

While hosting recipients for the Diana Awards at Kensington Palace, Prince William, 37, shared a rare insight into life at home and how his two eldest children clash when it comes to football.

Hello! reports that the royal dad-of-three was speaking to 14-year-old Olivia Hancock, who was being rewarded for her work promoting equality among the sexes in football when he revealed that six-year-old Prince George often riles up his sister, four.

“So when I was chatting with Prince William he said to me, when he plays football with George and Charlotte, when Charlotte’s in goal George says to her that ‘Charlotte I’m better than you’.”

Cheeky! But we loved hearing how the Duke of Cambridge handled the situation.

Olivia added that Prince William told his eldest son, “‘George, Charlotte could be as good as you’,” adding, “It’s great to hear that Prince William is saying that to George.”

It’s clear that football is a big talking topic at Kensington Palace.

Prince William is a passionate supporter of British Premiere League team Aston Villa since his school days and was spotted with his wife and two eldest children in the stands as they watched his beloved team emerge victorious with a five-to-one win against Norwich City.

And royal fans squealed with glee when footage of the six-year-old prince emerged cheering wildly and jumping up and down. So cute!

Prince William and Kate Middleton both love their sport and getting active and it seems like they want their children to inherit a passion for healthy living.

At an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, Prince William chatted with Eileen Fenton — the first woman to complete the Cross Channel Swimming Race in 1950 and reportedly said that the five of them were a “family of swimmers.”

“He said that he and his wife make sure the children can swim and they all go and they swim quite well,” Fenton told the Press Association.
