Target just earned its fancy “Tar-zhay” nickname by jujing up its in-store offerings--with booze.
The shelves aren’t the only things getting the tipsy treatment at one Target location in Chicago. The store, which is slated to open in October, applied for two liquor licenses in order to both stock and serve booze to customers. If they’re both approved, locals will be able to sip wine, beer, or a cocktail as they shop for back-to-school supplies for their kids.
But weaving a cart through the aisles might not be the only problem this new free-flowing policy presents. After a cocktail or two, it might be harder to say no to everything from cute pillows to pastries. If you plan on checking out the new cocktails once the store opens, make sure you bring a designated driver--and maybe put them in charge of your wallet, too.
