It's hard to believe that holiday shopping is almost upon us, but several major stores are gearing up for the holiday season. First, Walmart released their hours of operation during the holiday season, and now, Target detailed their holiday plan in a press release.
For the adults, Target is adding eight new brands just in time for the holidays, including the highly anticipated Hearth & Hand with Magnolia by Chip and Joanna Gaines, which will be in stores on November 5. And for the kids, there will also be more than 1,400 "new and exclusive" kids toys this season, including toys from Star Wars and LEGO, and the most popular kids item from last year — the Hatchimal. The press release also promises $1 stocking stuffers, and that almost all of their 1,700 gifts, such as jewelry, toys, games, and tech accessories, will be under $15.
First, we'll make snow angels, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat these Buddy Bars as fast as we can and then to finish, we'll snuggle! A post shared by Target (@target) on Dec 16, 2016 at 8:31am PST

We all have that one person that we're never sure which gift to give to them. Now, you can make sure you pick out exactly what your picky loved one wants this year (though it will ruin the surprise!) Target is introducing a “GiftNow” option on their website. "You’ll be able to choose from thousands of gifts and click the “GiftNow” button, then check out as usual," the release states. "Your friend will receive an e-gift email that lets her accept the gift, change the color or size, or pick out something entirely different—all before the item ships." (And shipping is free from November 1 through December 23, with no minimum purchase required.)
Besides great deals, new products, and easy gift-giving tools, Target is also trying to make the stressful shopping season more jolly. The release says there will be things to make the Target experience more enjoyable, including photos with Santa, giveaways, and new holiday food.

Holiday shopping can be chaotic, but hopefully things are a little easier this year. Target has upped their staff to 400,000 (!) employees this season to make the holiday rush go more smoothly. But during all the hustle and bustle, don't forget the most important part — as the release states, "Sit back, relax, and re-invest all that time and energy you’ve saved by spending more joyful moments with your friends and family."
