Eating the same leftovers day after day is like watching one movie on repeat. No matter how much you like it the first time, you start to lose interest--quickly. Luckily, you can easily reinvent food to feel like you’re having a brand new meal, and Food52 has an idea we love for leftover pasta: the pasta pie.
If you haven’t tried eating your noodles in a pie before, it’s high time you tried. Because it’s baked, the dish's bottom and edges are wonderfully crispy while the center is tender and toothsome like your favorite fettuccine. And making it from leftovers is as easy as pile, bake, and slice.

Cut yourself a slice of pasta for dinner.
If you have leftover spaghetti, coil it into a cake pan with a fixed bottom, layering in your favorite fresh additions to brighten up the day-old noodles. Spinach and shredded cheeses both work well. Just make sure your pasta is slightly under-cooked since the pie goes into the oven and the noodles will get a second cooking, and that you add more sauce than you need for a plate of pasta to make sure the middle stays saucy and tender.
