When our kids ask us for something--no matter how far-fetched--we will do anything in our power to pull it off.
So when her 4-year-old twins--who are big fans of both Disney princesses and The Avengers--asked for a Hulk princess birthday cake, Lainie Elton, of Toronto, Canada, thought, "Okay, I can make that happen," as she later told ABCNews.com.

But after Googling and searching on Pinterest, Elton couldn't find much inspiration. "I’m pretty crafty. I found something on Pinterest and it was a she-Hulk cake with a Barbie doll painted green, but that’s not what I wanted at all. I wanted the real Hulk," she told ABCNews.
So she spent six hours over the course of several days creating the cake with her husband's help. The girls weren't disappointed.

When Elton posted the photo of her cake mashup on Reddit, it went viral. And while she didn't intend for the cake to make a statement about gender stereotypes, she's happy to add to the conversation, she said. “I am fully supportive of kids wearing and playing with whatever they're interested in. If my daughter wants to wear blue shoes and play with action figures, I’m all for it.”
