If you bake a mean apple pie, have perfected the art of throwing a dinner party, and love giving out advice over a cup of coffee, you could be raking in the dough. Just take a cue from New York’s Nina Keneally and rent out your time for services like these to people who miss their mothers.
The 63-year-old decided to put her 30 years of mothering experience to good use again after moving to Brooklyn. Millennials in her yoga classes would always approach her with their problems, and they loved her no-judgment way of listening and giving out advice. So her new business, NeedAMom, was born. She charges $40 for a coffee and counseling session, one of her clients told the New York Post.

NeedAMom does have rates now. New client special: $30/hour. But we can talk.
But like many mothers around the country, Keneally is not in the business of cleaning up after you. “Don’t expect me to clean your closet or do your laundry,” she told the New York Post, adding, “I’m not your maid!”
And your knowledge, just like Keneally’s, is exactly what these young customers are looking for, like how to pick out the perfect gift for their real moms. So if you know your advice is too good to ignore, it might just be time to put a price tag on it.
