Wife Creates Dating Profile for Husband in Act of True Love

Tags:

It’s hard to believe a wife who’s been happily married to her husband for 26 years would want someone else to marry him. Much less, that she would pen an article titled, “You May Want to Marry My Husband.” But that’s exactly what Amy Krouse Rosenthal did.

And her heart-wrenching words have the whole Internet believing in true love.

As Rosenthal explains in the article, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2015.

She wrote, “This is when we entered what I came to think of as Plan ‘Be,’ existing only in the present.”

But now, she doesn’t know how long she’ll live; it’s possible it could only be a few days more.

“As for the future, allow me to introduce you to the gentleman of this article, Jason Brian Rosenthal,” she wrote. “He is an easy man to fall in love with. I did it in one day.”

She goes on to explain the basics about Jason, in no particular order: 5 foot 10 inches tall, salt and pepper hair, and hazel eyes.

But as the article goes on, it gets much more personal–and revealing–about why this was the man of her dreams.

She wrote, “Here is the kind of man Jason is: He showed up at our first pregnancy ultrasound with flowers. This is a man who, because he is always up early, surprises me every Sunday morning by making some kind of oddball smiley face out of items near the coffeepot: a spoon, a mug, a banana.”

If you haven’t broken out the tissues yet, rest assured there’s more where that came from.

She wrote, “I want more time with Jason. I want more time with my children. I want more time sipping martinis at the Green Mill Jazz Club on Thursday nights. But that is not going to happen. I probably have only a few days left being a person on this planet. So why I am doing this?”

Then, she answered her own question.

She wrote, “I am wrapping this up on Valentine’s Day, and the most genuine, non-vase-oriented gift I can hope for is that the right person reads this, finds Jason, and another love story begins.”

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Is it any wonder it’s been liked more than 22,000 times?
