Firefighters are heroes who go above and beyond: Not only do they save lives, they are also known for committing small acts of kindness to help people in their communities. Sometimes it's helping older adults who need a bit of compassion; other times, it's helping their youngest neighbors simply cheer up.
That's what happened for 6-year-old Cobie Saiz, a lonely boy who had just moved to a new neighborhood and hadn't met any friends. His mom encouraged him to head outside to play, so he did--but not before dressing up in his favorite firefighter uniform (which has parents had bought him to wear for Career Day at school).
When a real firefighter, Jose Munoz, drove by a short time later, he noticed young Cobie right away. And what he did next... well, it's not just sweet and selfless, it got the attention of the whole neighborhood.
