When it comes to relaxing at bedtime, many men like channel-surfing on late night TV, checking the sports scores, reading a good book... and snuggling with their teddy bears?
Yes, it's true. According to a study of 1,000 people commissioned by British bed company Time4Sleep, half of the men (compared to 39 percent of women) still have their stuffed toys from childhood, and a whopping 25 percent still sleep with them at night.
And that's not the only surprising stuffed animal stat out there: Another survey found that 25 percent of men who travel regularly for work admit to bringing a stuffed animal with them in their suitcase.
No, it's not a real-life version of Ted the movie. In fact, 37 percent of the adults surveyed said they still hung on to Fluffy, Teddy, or Buttons because the stuffed toys reminded them of their childhood, which perhaps provides comfort and a feeling of security. As for those who did get rid of their teddy bears? Twenty-nine percent said they felt they were too old to still own one (you don't say!).
