Her Prom Photo Was Overtaken By Cops For the Sweetest Reason

Indiana teen Sierra Bradway knew she would take her prom photos at the cemetery to honor her beloved dad, a fallen police officer. But what she didn’t know was that she, her date, and their photographer would have some company at the photo shoot.

Bradway arrived with her date at Indianapolis’s Crown Hill Cemetery, prepared to take the planned snapshots.

But when they walked toward the gravesite, they were greeted by dozens of police officers who had come to pay their respects to her father, who was shot six times on September 20, 2013, while entering an apartment after hearing a woman screaming for help.

Though her father’s story had a tragic ending, he was credited with saving the lives of the woman in question and her child that night. And it’s clear that his fellow officers thought highly of him.

The plan was set in place by her date’s mother, who is a captain in the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. When she found out about the couple’s photo shoot, she knew she had to do something to make their day even more special. And judging by the many beautiful images captured that day, her mission was accomplished.
