Why You’ll Want to Snuggle Up With All the Pups on Netflix’s ‘Dogs’

Prepare to have your heartstrings tugged harder than a pup pulling at her leash: Netflix is releasing a new documentary series all about how amazing our canine friends are, which is simply titled Dogs. You can marathon all six episodes on the streaming service starting November 16.

Each of the hour-long episodes features either a specific dog helping make their favorite human’s life a little bit better, or the different ways communities across the globe embrace their love of pooches. At its heart, the series is “celebrating the deep emotional bonds between people and their beloved four-legged best friends,” as Netflix explained in a press release. The episodes also prove how universal that bond between humans and pups is, with stories spanning from the United States, Japan, Germany, Syria, Costa Rica, and Italy. Check out the official trailer below for a peek at what’s to come from the touching series:

If you aren’t already lucky enough to have a pooch in your life, you might want to consider bringing one home before you start watching. The lengths both the dogs and their owners go to just to give each other comfort and love throughout the series will likely make you crave cuddles from your own canine. Take a look below to meet some of the adorable dogs featured in the series and learn more about their stories.
