Kimberly Williams-Paisley Fans Are Going Crazy After Her Big Announcement

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley knew her fans would go nuts over her latest announcement. But she posted it anyway and spilled the beans about what she and her Father of the Bride co-stars have been up to since the movie premiered in 1991.

Williams-Paisley’s most recent roles are in the hit TV show Nashville and the family-friendly Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. But long before that, she was famous for playing bride-to-be Annie Banks.

She was so well-known, in fact, that her future husband, country singer Brad Paisley, first saw her face on a movie theater’s big screen and was totally smitten. Too bad he was already dating someone at the time. Yikes! But Paisley couldn’t stop thinking about the woman he’d seen on screen.

She seems like a great girl—smart and funny, and all those things that are so hard to find,” he told Good Housekeeping in 2009.

There’s no word on whether Williams-Paisley’s parents were as worried about her marrying Brad as her character’s on-screen father, actor Steve Martin, was, but any of her parents’ anxieties should be long gone after almost 15 years of wedded bliss and two sons together.

And like the doting daughter she played, Williams-Paisley made a point to see her former co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short, when their tour made a stop in Tennessee at the Opry House.

Martin and Short are currently on a Bluegrass comedy tour across the U.S. that’s an equal mix of banjo and one-liners.

Don’t worry! It doesn’t look like Brad missed out on the fun either. If you look closely, it looks like you can see the top of his head in the mirror’s reflection.

How fun! Maybe there’s a Father of the Bride Part III in the works?
