When Elderly Bus Passenger Almost Tripped, Driver Did the Kindest Thing For Her


A small act of kindness can make a big impact.

Just ask William Harris, a bus driver in Ireland, who has now become a local celebrity after a selfless gesture. And for good reason. As Clara O’Brien, one of his passengers, revealed in a Facebook post, an elderly woman was getting off his bus and almost tripped. Once she was off the bus, William noticed that her shoelace was undone. So he stalled the bus to tell her. She said she knew, and he quickly realized she was not steady enough to fix her shoes.

So he got off the bus and tied it for her.

O’Brien wrote, “I haven’t seen someone do something so kind in as long as I can remember and the lady was so appreciative she blew a kiss as the bus was pulling away. Your driver made my day.”

Judging by the sweet nature of this photo, we have to say we agree!
