If you're looking for work during the holiday season, these Amazon temporary jobs may be up your alley. Amazon is hiring 120,000 temporary workers for the holidays this year, nearly doubling its U.S. warehouse workforce.
Many of the current available gigs (unsurprisingly) deal directly with packages — sorting, wrapping, and shipping them — under the title 'Seasonal Sortation Associate.' However, if packaging gifts and other goodies isn't really your thing, there are other Amazon temporary jobs available, such as 'Seasonal Fresh Associate,' which assists with the online retail and tech giant's grocery delivery service.
“We look forward to welcoming back holiday employees who return year-after-year to Amazon and welcome new faces to the team, many of whom will continue on with regular, full-time roles with the company after the holidays," said Dave Clark, Amazon's senior vice president of global customer fulfillment, in a statement.
The online retailer said thousands of holiday jobs were actually converted into full-time positions for lucky folks filling them last year, and they expect that trend to continue this year as well. Talk about the best kind of Christmas gift that doesn't come in a package!
Even better? The Amazon seasonal jobs are scattered through 33 states, and many applications are already available. If you're an Amazon fan who wants to spread a little extra joy to folks during the holiday season (and potentially beyond), it's worth checking out their open positions before they're all filled up. If one fits your interests and qualifications, you can apply online here.
Good luck, all you job seekers out there!
