Dream Job Alert: Vet Clinic Is Hiring a Professional Cat Cuddler

If you love kitties as much as we do, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a new cat cuddler job on the market. Yes, you read that right: You can actually apply now to become a professional cat cuddler.

The job is for the Just Cats Veterinary Clinic and Cattery, located all the way over in Dublin, Ireland. But after finding out more about what the job entails, you just might be convinced to move for the career of a lifetime. As you might know, the cat cuddler job — like any job — comes with a set of very important requirements. Take a look at the questions the clinic asks of its potential cuddlers:

Are you a crazy cat person who loves cats?

Does cattitude come naturally to you?

Have you counted kittens before you go to sleep?

Do you feed the stray cats in your locality?

Does petting cats make you feel warm and fuzzy?

If that sounds like you, this opportunity might be exactly the job you’ve been seeking. But before you quickly pack your bags to move to Dublin, be sure you are exactly what this clinic is looking for, too.

The job description of the ideal candidate begins with this crucial quality: “Must have gentle hands capable of petting and stroking cats for long periods of time.” The candidate also needs to be soft-spoken and possess the ability to “cat whisper” to relax some of the most nervous cat patients. Of course, the skill of listening to all these precious felines is crucial too: “An ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position with us.”

Right up your alley? If you’re willing to relocate and can score a Veterinary Council of Ireland recognized qualification, send your best resume and cover letter to hello@justcats.ie.

Paws up for all who apply!
