Many good Samaritans step forward to help the homeless people in their communities, particularly in the colder months of winter and around the holidays. But who is there to help the animals who don’t have a warm place to rest their heads each night?
One admirable cafe owner has stepped up to the plate for the dogs who have no homes to go to at night. A heartwarming photo was snapped of several dogs snoozing on the coffee shop’s benches in the evening–and for good reason, that photo is now making the rounds on social media.
This is a coffee shop in Greece which opens their doors every night to these poor dogs so they won't freeze to death outside 🙁 congratulations to the owner he/she is a sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️ #ellentubePosted by David Simonian on Saturday, December 19, 2015
According to Greek blog Zoosos, the cafe is Mytilene on the island of Lesbos, Greece. Once customers leave for the night, the establishment opens its doors to local stray dogs so they can use the sofas for a warm night’s sleep.
We agree with dog-lovers everywhere: This idea rocks.
