People who shave their heads to support loved ones with cancer will always deserve our attention and respect. But here’s one little girl who’s shaving her head for a slightly different reason.
Sadly, 10-year-old Tallulah Lewis-Schulz has already lost her father to pancreatic cancer. But when she recently heard on the radio about a campaign featuring “Brave the Shave”–a cause in which people shave their heads in an effort to raise funds for cancer patients–she told her mother she wanted to participate anyway.
Her reason? The young girl said she wanted to donate the funds she raised to Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury, England, the hospice center that had cared lovingly for her dad and had helped sustain her family through his final days.
Her mother was surprised but deeply moved, though she urged her to think about it–but the little girl’s mind was set. A few short days later, she proudly fulfilled her goal. On-hand to witness the remarkable act were many of Tallulah’s young classmates, plus the local news station. Check it out./ITVCentral/videos/vb.82710639034/10153625657009035/?type=3
