3 Secrets That May Help You Slim a Double Chin and Reclaim Your Youth

Do you have droopy skin beneath your chin? You’re not alone! Many women struggle with aging skin on their face and neck as they get older. And the cause isn’t always excess fat — water retention and lax skin can create the look, too. To help nix a double chin, check out these three tips.

Try this facial exercise.

Rest your chin on your fist while applying slight upward pressure, then open your mouth against the pressure of your fist and close it again. Repeat 10 times daily. This move may strengthen the platysma muscle under the chin to tighten lax skin.

Another move you can do? Sit up straight and open your mouth as wide as you can (without discomfort). Then, stick your tongue out and try to touch it to your chin. Hold this pose for three to five seconds, then relax. Repeat 10 times, and perform this set once per day.

Apply a chin wrap.

The manual pressure of a V-shaped chin wrap expels excess fluids beneath the chin. And one that’s also infused with peptides increases elastin production for a firmer-looking jawline.

Up your collagen intake.

Research shows that taking a collagen supplement may encourage your body to produce more collagen of its own. And an increase of collagen in the body may help your skin look more taut.
