Tags:

If you’re anything like us, you love pups of all sizes: big dogs, little dogs, and every four-legged friend in between. So we think you’ll be delighted to know that the website 24/7 Wall St. has compiled two new tail-wagging lists of the most popular big dog breeds and the most popular little dog breeds in America. Warning: After you read the whole list, you might feel the sudden urge to cuddle with all of them.

Based on data collected from the American Kennel Club (which currently registers 190 dog breeds total), the two full lists both include a countdown of 25 top dogs in their respective size categories of big or small. So we’re zooming in on the top five big dog breeds and little dog breeds that made the cut, explaining just how big (or not!) they can get and what makes them so special. After all, no two dogs are exactly alike. They all have their own intriguing personalities, qualities, and quirks that make them unique. But clearly, these specific dog breeds have proven themselves to be wonderful companions to humans in their own adorable signature ways — no matter how big or small they are.

Despite loving pups of all sizes, we can’t help but smile when we see a beloved big dog so close to a sweet little dog. It’s hard not to be amazed by the wide variety of furry friends out there, especially when there is such a stark size difference between some of them!
