Camilla Reveals Thoughts on Royal Baby

With Meghan Markle’s due date looming, there’s no denying our mounting anticipation to see the new royal baby. But there’s one person in particular who can’t quite hold back her excitement anymore — Duchess Camilla Parker-Bowles.

While on her current royal tour of the Caribbean, the Duchess of Cornwall was heard speaking to an American tourist about the new royal baby — a rare topic to be discussed so publicly within the royal fold. And what’s more, Camilla said something we’re certain we can all relate to — and you can’t beat a royal relatable moment!

According to Hello!, Camilla was speaking to an American tourist named Mimi Ricketts who asked her if she was excited about the new baby. Camilla reportedly had a big grin on her face as she replied, “Yes, very much so.”

And while the anecdote was short and sweet, this is only the second known time for Camilla to have spoken publicly about the royal baby, the first being a statement immediately following Meghan’s pregnancy announcement back in October 2018.

At the time, the statement from Kensington Palace read that Camilla and husband Prince Charles were “delighted” at the exciting baby news for Meghan and Harry.

Charles, who is partaking in the royal tour of the Caribbean with Camilla, was also heard discussing the royal baby a few days earlier while visiting the Scottish Highlands.

Hello! reported that Charles had been asked if he had toasted news of the royal baby to which Charles replied, “Oh yes, absolutely… several times, at the moment!”

And the grandparents-to-be aren’t the first royals to be heard speaking to fans about the new baby. Back in November last year, Kate Middleton was heard talking all things babies while on an official visit to Leicester University.

When asked if she was excited about the arrival of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new addition, Kate animatedly replied, “Yeah, absolutely!” before adding, “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies.”

The royal family’s excitement comes with mere weeks to go until baby Sussex’s arrival. It is understood the royal baby is due sometime in April, with Meghan reportedly having already commenced her maternity leave. Prince Harry is also understood to be taking two weeks paternity leave following the birth of the new baby.
