Jennifer Garner Did Something Amazing When She Was Getting Coffee at Starbucks
Ever since 13 Going on 30, Jennifer Garner movies have been our fave. But as we’ve gotten to know the person behind the Hollywood persona, we’ve become fans of the woman as well. Her sweet, girl-next-door-turned-just your average mom vibe, or it could be her what is now well-known kind and humble demeanor.
Either way, we love Jennifer. And after seeing her Instagram story the other day, we love her even more. Garner, the 49 year-old mom of three, said that “coffee is always a worthwhile little act of kindness.” Garner was in one of her local Starbucks stores and when it got to be her turn, ordered a grande mint tea. She then proceeded to tip the baristas and give $100 to the cashier to pay for the orders of everyone waiting in line behind her. “Just tell them to have a good day, and pass it on,” she said.
A Cup of Kindness
Garner, one of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities, is notoriously down-to-earth, from sharing her cooking disasters as well as her victories on social media. If it weren’t for her abundance of talent and natural beauty, we’d even use the word ‘relatable’. Here’s the thing: The star is actually relatable, even while dazzling us with her performances on and off screen.
Daughter of parents who valued hard work and humble beginnings, Garner began acting as a theater major at Denison University in Ohio. She moved to New York City after graduating, where, according to the book Uncovering Alias: The Unofficial Guide that she “would roll up pennies to take the subway to work in Times Square. I was broke, but I was happy.”
Garner is grateful for everything she’s worked for and is also aware of life on the other side of fame. She’s the poster girl for wholesome, and this most recent act of kindness only adds to her already lengthy list of do-good moments.
The Power of Paying it Forward
Garner also began a company called Once Upon a Farm, which recently paired up with Save the Children for the A Million Meals Initiative. Together, they are raising money to help provide one million nutritious meals to kids in rural areas across the US by the end of 2024.
From big, broad examples of generosity to a few tall and grande macchiatos, Jennifer Garner knows the value of an act of kindness. “Pass it on,” she encouraged in the caption beneath her Instagram story.
