Love the low prices and free curbside pickup or delivery from Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target, and Walmart? Then you’ll love these tips to spend even less at each of these beloved discount stores!

Nab 66 percent off at Walmart.

Before you buy anything at a Walmart store, check the prices at other nearby locations by typing an item’s UPC number into this handy online tool. Prices vary between stores due to each Walmart’s inventory needs, so you may be able to find what you want for less by driving just a little further. Shopping online? Type “clearance” into the search box on Walmart’s homepage, and you’ll see a hidden clearance section where products from Walmart and third-party sellers are priced as low as they’ll go. Hint: Check to see if some of your favorite beauty products are on sale now!

Snag 50 percent savings at Lowe’s.

For discounts of 25 to 50 percent, shop at Lowe’s online Savings Center. Here, the retailer offers deals on appliances, lighting, ceiling fans, and other merchandise that you won’t find in stores. Visiting a Lowe’s near you? While the store offers its own coupons on occasion (like $15 off a $50 purchase), it also generally accepts coupons from discount stores like The Home Depot and Ace Hardware. Tip: Before purchasing a washer, dryer, refrigerator, or other appliance, visit the Lowe’s Rebate Center, which offers a wide range of products that qualify for rebates to save you hundreds of dollars.

Spend 65 percent less at Best Buy.

Looking for a laptop, TV, or appliance? Visit the “Deals” section at BestBuy.com. Every 24 hours (usually at 1 AM Eastern Time), this department is refreshed with a new batch of products discounted by up to 65 percent. Shopping in person? Before you check out, use your smartphone to look up items you plan to buy at competing discount stores as well as BestBuy.com, since you can ask for the lower price if you find one. Tip: Check the Best Buy page on eBay to find bargains on merchandise Best Buy needs to move quickly.

Save up to 90 percent at Target.

The secret to snagging deals anywhere from 10 to 50 percent off at everyone’s favorite discount store, Target? Shop on Sundays. This is when the week’s new sales start, so you’ll get first dibs on discounted groceries, wine, and household products before they’re sold out. Also great: Tuesday is the day the retailer reduces prices in its grocery sections — and some markdowns can be up to 90 percent off. But insiders say deals aren’t always located at the back of aisles on the endcaps; they can be marked down right on the shelf as well. Also, plan to shop there the week after a holiday (like Halloween or Valentine’s Day) for up to 70 percent off all holiday-themed decor, paper plates, and snacks.
