Love the savings you can get at dollar stores? Good news: now there are easy ways to save even more every time you buy!
- Visit more dollar stores: Tend to visit the same dollar store over and over? If so, you're missing out on big savings on other products since each dollar store carries different inventory — even those owned by the same chain! Better yet, more dollar stores are now stocking perishable food items (such as eggs and milk), so finding those that have them in your neighborhood can help you cut down your grocery bill! To find all the stores near you, type "dollar store" into a search engine and you'll be given a map with nearby locations!
- Buy in bulk online: Want to take advantages of major savings on nonperishable goods by buying a large quantity, such as a case? While the brick-and-mortar dollar stores may not stock enough to buy in bulk, online versions of dollar store retailers — such as Dollar General and Dollar Tree — sell large quantities at the same low dollar store price!
- Slash prices with coupons and sales: If you thought the prices at dollar stores couldn't get any lower, great news: They can! That's because most accept manufacturer coupons and offer additional coupons on their websites or in their fliers! What's more, some dollar stores (such as Dollar General and Family Dollar) allow you to combine one manufacturer coupon with one store coupon for twice the savings!
- Try dollar store private labels: You probably already know that private-label brands at large supermarkets can save you a bundle. Well, some dollar store chains have their own private labels, too, including Dollar General (which offers Clover Valley foods and Smart & Simple paper products) and Family Dollar (which offers Family Gourmet foods and Family Wellness health products). And they cost even less than supermarket private-label products, keeping more cash in your wallet!
