We Wish We Could Move Into Dr. Oz’s Basement
We all love Dr. Oz around here, but after seeing his basement, we have to admit that we’re a little jealous of him now. And when you hear about all of the perks that Dr. Oz’s basement has to offer, we totally won’t blame you if you have a case of the green-eyed monster, too.
When Dr. Oz was putting together his plans for his dream home in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, he instantly knew one thing he wanted to be included in the basement: a basketball court.

“The house is on a hill, so we were stuck with a big ceiling and I thought, ‘This is my perfect excuse,'” Dr Oz said in an exclusive interview and tour of his basement with TODAY.com.
It’s not so shocking that someone as enthusiastic about health and fitness like Dr. Oz would want to build a basketball court for himself. But it seems like he “mistakenly” (his words, not ours) built an entire fitness center for himself as well.
But don’t worry, it’s not all work for Dr. Oz down there; he has some time for play in his basement, too. There’s games like foosball and ping-pong, as well as a hilariously designed slot machine with Dr. Oz’s own face on it — as well as his mentor Oprah Winfrey’s face!

There’s also a “media room” where Dr. Oz can recline in a relaxing chair with a nice warm blanket after a rainy day. And then there’s, as Dr. Oz himself puts it, “perhaps the most important room” — the wine cellar.
