The House From ‘The Brady Bunch’ Is for Sale, And It Still Looks Straight From the ’70s

Anyone who watched The Brady Bunch will admit they wanted to be a part of the blended family of eight (or nine, if you count Carol). Now, everybody’s favorite family home is up for sale for the first time in 50 years. The iconic residence that The Brady Bunch family called home is on the market for a cool $1.88 million.

The three-bedroom home, located in the tree-lined residential suburb of San Fernando Valley in Studio City, North Hollywood, has to be one of the most recognized homes in the world. It graced TV screens around the globe from 1969 to 1974, not to mention the reruns and spin-offs that continued to air after its final episode.

While only the exterior of the house was used for filming, we’re not sure why the inside of the home wasn’t used. It would’ve been the perfect fit with its authentic ’70s interior, boasting wood-paneled walls, floral drapes, pretty wallpaper, and slate flooring.

The classic California bungalow may seem like a renovator’s dream, but the long-time owners have other ideas. Douglas Elliman broker Ernie Carswell told the L.A. Times that the sellers — who acquired the home in the early ’70s for $61,000 — want a buyer that plans to preserve the home’s history and heritage. “We’re not going to accept the first big offer from a developer who wants to tear it down,” he said. “We’re going to wait a few days, in case there are others who want to purchase it as an investment to preserve it.”

The Brady Bunch may be over, but we can rest easy knowing that that familiar façade will remain for years to come.
