The New Way to Get Free Netflix

Tags:

If you’re anything like us, free Netflix sounds like a dream come true. Well, T-Mobile is about to make a lot of people’s dreams a reality by offering them free Netflix — and it doesn’t even involve sneakily using someone else’s password (er, not that we would ever do that).

On Sept. 8, T-Mobile announced that it was giving family plan subscribers on its unlimited data plans free Netflix service. If you’re a new or existing T-Mobile customer with at least two lines, you will get a standard Netflix subscription for free. (The service usually costs $10 a month). Similarly, if you’re a customer who already subscribes to Netflix, T-Mobile will now cover the cost. Sounds pretty amazing, huh?

As you might know already, the standard Netflix plan allows two users to be logged in at once to the video streaming service and also includes high-definition. However, it does not include the 4K ultra-high definition content, which is reserved for those on the $12-per-month premium plan.

Though this move isn’t entirely surprising for the company, especially considering AT&T just did an HBO giveaway in April, it certainly is an exciting new addition for T-Mobile — and of course, anyone who is already subscribed to this magical plan.

Speaking of which, excuse us while we switch our phone plans right this instant.

Already have your awesome free Netflix plan set up? Good for you. Here’s some great true crime documentaries you can watch on the service (if you haven’t discovered those already, too.
