‘Access Hollywood’ Host Kit Hoover Swears by This Drugstore Nail Polish for At-Home Manicures

Kit Hoover always looks glamorous while sharing the latest celebrity news on Access Hollywood, but she doesn’t splash out a ton of cash for her go-to beauty buys. In fact, she does her own manicures with a budget-friendly polish we can all pick up at the drugstore.
“You don’t have to be fancy by any means,” Hoover tells us while chatting about her favorite products. “The best nail polish is at the drugstore: Essie. I do my nails at home and they have a great color called ‘limo-scene.’ It looks so clean and just looks so pretty on everyone’s hands.”
She says that she “doesn’t have time to sit for a manicure,” so this polish her fingertips look camera-ready without a trip to the salon. You can find the shade at your local drugstore or online (Buy at Walmart, $9.97).
The 51-year-old dished on a few more of her favorite items, including one she’s used since she was a teen: St. Ives Apricot Scrub (Buy at Walmart, $3.97). “I still use it every morning. I love it,” Hoover revealed. She also reaches for Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser (Buy at Walmart, $6.43) to freshen up her face and Olay Age Defying Classic Night Cream (Buy at Walmart, $7.20) to hydrate her skin before bed.
That’s a well-rounded beauty haul — and all of it under $10 a pop! We’ll be adding this to our list of celebrity-approved drugstore items along with Naomi Judd’s favorite moisturizer, Dolly Parton’s classic makeup remover, and Drew Barrymore’s go-to shampoo and conditioner.
Be sure to pick up the latest issue of our print magazine (buy on newsstands now or on Magazine Shop, $2.49) for more tips from Hoover. She tells us how she balances a busy life as a working mom-of-two, bounces back from life-changing challenges, and more!
