The ‘Pioneer Woman’ Is Opening a Hotel and We’re Going to Be First in Line

Ree Drummond fans, rejoice! The Pioneer Woman is opening a hotel in Oklahoma with her husband Ladd (aka Marlboro Man). Based on what we know about it so far, we’re pretty sure we’ll be one of the first to book a room.

As any Pioneer Woman fan knows, Ree is happy to invite fans and followers to her shop, her restaurant, and her ranch. But what she and her husband have chose to do with an old building in the town Pawkusa really takes the couple’s hospitality to a whole new level.

“The three-story building is going to be an 8-room hotel with suites so comfortable and cozy, Marlboro and I are going to want to move into one,” Ree wrote on her blog. “We won’t, of course, but just think of the reduction in chores it would mean!”

Ree first announced a “restoration project” back in August. And we were instantly intrigued when we saw photos on her Instagram showing the initial progress, however mysterious and secretive it might have been.

But it’s a secret no more, as Ree has dished out many generous details on what to expect from a Pioneer Woman hotel. You’ll see a second-floor balcony that doubles as an awning for the ground floor (an idea they borrowed from a building in Houston). You’ll see ferns hanging from the railings. And you’ll see old murals bearing the history of the structure.

Ree is also quick to point out that her husband is responsible for most of the work behind the hotel. And this confession comes with a dash of her classic Pioneer Woman humor, of course.

“I have had almost zero to do with it aside from an occasional ‘Oooooh, neato!'” she wrote. “The helpfulness of my contributions can not be underestimated. Ha.”

No word yet on when this fabulous-sounding hotel will open, but we’re sure it’ll be booked to the brim once it does!
