Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Made a Dazzling Entrance at Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding

It seems like only yesterday Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex and married our favorite redheaded royal, Prince Harry. And we bet the duke and duchess were having fond flashbacks from their big day when they arrived at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding. After all, it was just five months ago that they tied the knot in the very same place.

Dressed in a stunning navy ensemble by Givenchy (yes, the same designer she wore on her own wedding day), Duchess Meghan glowed on the arm of her husband, who looked particularly dashing in his morning suit. And it seems like being back at their wedding venue gave them that newlywed glow all over again.

In the lead-up to the wedding, eagle-eyed royal watchers noticed a few similarities between Harry and Meghan’s and Eugenie and Jack’s big days. In fact, some think that Eugenie has been in competition with her cousin’s lavish nuptials ever since they announced their respective engagements.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their happy news to the world in November 2017, and Eugenie and Jack were quick to follow suit in January 2018. According to Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, Eugenie’s engagement ring is worth £100,000 (nearly $132,000), making it double the value of Meghan’s three-diamond ring.

Vanity Fair reported that Eugenie was hoping to marry as early as last year, but seeing as she is ninth in line to inherit the throne, she had to wait for her cousin Harry, who’s sixth in line, to tie the knot first. “The feeling among the Yorks is that she deserves her moment in the spotlight and a big royal wedding with all the frills,” the source said. However, there are reportedly “no bad feelings,” as the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson knows how the system works.

The two royal weddings of 2018 don’t just have the venue in common, either. Following the exchange of vows, Eugenie and Jack traveled through the Royal Mews and onto Windsor High Street, where the general public caught a glimpse of the newlyweds. Very similar to Harry and Meghan’s carriage ride after their ceremony in May, don’t you think? It was also announced via Twitter in July this year that Princess Eugenie and her fiancé had decided to invite 1,200 members of the public to view their wedding. That’s exactly the same number of members of the public Harry and Meghan invited to their own big day.

Looks like there’s plenty of love in the air today regardless!
